Week Ending: 21.4.17. Canal Boat Trip

Hello,

On Thursday we went to Rickmansworth Waterways Trust. We travelled on a canal boat, went on The Roger to see how the canal boats used to look and work, we opened and closed the lock gates and we also dressed up as Victorian children and had a go at doing the washing.

"My favourite bit about the trip was the boat because it wasn't going too fast. The driver was a safe driver" Michael
"My favourite part of the trip was opening the locks" Kara
"My favourite part of the trip was going on the canal boat because I liked looking at all the different animals you can find in a canal." (Bertie)

Today we wrote a recount about our canal boat trip.

Home Learning is to look for things around your home that you can measure as next week in maths we will be learning about different units of measurement.

We have started to practise our country dancing ready the May Day celebrations.

If you have a torch and are happy to bring it into school to use for our science experiment on Monday please make sure you have your name on it.

Well done to George who will be spending the weekend with our Learning Owl Snowy. George has shown great independence and perseverance with his learning this week.

Congratulations to Archie who is our Star of the Week for his brilliant risk taking on the canal boat trip.
